January 2016
The Weather Gods were kind enough to give us 30 mins between showers to run a take off and landing event.
The objective was to take off, then do a touch down, followed by a landing, all on a very narrow strip. Points were awarded for
accuracy.

Briefing
A week after the event, Derek surprised
club flyers by turning up at the field with
control with electric power using ParkZone
micro components.
Even
more surprising was the fact that it
not only flew, but actually performed fairly

February 2016         Egg Drop
The "Egg Drop" was repeated from last year by popular request? But the difference this year was that the eggs
came
too out easily! Most pilots had great difficulty in retaining them much beyond take off, with only a couple being
dropped on the field when intended; but with very little accuracy! Only Derek was unable to drop the egg at all with it
refusing to leave the FunCub despite numerous violent loops, rolls, stalls, etc, etc!
In view of the un
eggsplainable equipment malfunctions, the organiser decided to allocate 2 equal points to all
competitors in this round.
But there were many laughs and a great time was had by all!
